What sets us apart from our competitors is our sense of customer service:
- We are happy, not put out, to talk to you when you call.
- We always return your calls and emails.
- We insist on meeting with our tax-preparation clients to explain how their tax returns have been prepared into read-evaluate our current tax-related strategies.
- We know you have a choice of service professionals.
These are common sense operating philosophies, but you might be astounded to know how many times we have heard new clients rank "poor customer service" as the number one issue when dealing with CPAs and other professionals.
Randy Hunt Bio
Randy Hunt is not your typical practicing CPA. After receiving his B.A. degree in 1981 from the University of Texas at El Paso, he entered the firm of Pete Marwick Mitchell, then the second largest partnership of certified public accountants in the world. During his eight-year stay with Pete Marwick, now KPMG LLP, he was promoted to senior manager in the audit practice and spent two years in the firm's executive office in New York City. There he worked with a team developing proprietary auditing software and later helped to establish a management consulting group focusing on the selection and implementation of LAN-based PC accounting software.
In 1989, Randy left KPMG to become a plant controller with a publicly-traded company that manufactured infrared optical sensors and emitters used in office machinery and automobiles. Four years later, Randy was recruited by another publicly-traded company to become general manager of their EMI filter business unit. This switch from accounting to general management is what separates Randy from most practicing CPAs who have never been responsible for marketing, engineering, manufacturing and distribution and a competitive market.
Randy was promoted to chief financial officer with the same company after his successful run at building up and operating their EMI filter business unit. Back in the financial realm, Randy acquired significant experience dealing with financial institutions, investment bankers, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the board of directors and shareholders of a public company.
His entrepreneurial spirit then kicked in and Randy established his own CPA practice. His love for Sandwich, Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts was inspiration for leaving the "corporate world" and establishing a firm focused on helping businesses, individuals and non-profit corporations to reach their financial goals while maintaining their reporting obligations to various state and federal agencies.
